Does Alternative Payments offer Same-Day ACH?

LinkedInX (Twitter)Facebook

The TL;DR: No. Alternative Payments does not offer Same-Day ACH.

Faster payments aren’t a “nice-to-have". They're table stakes. Nacha reported 1.4 billion Same-Day ACH payments in 2025, worth $3.9 trillion, up 16.7% year over year. That's the market voting with its money, not a niche feature that few businesses take advantage of.

If you're sizing up Alternative Payments for your MSP's billing and collections, there's two important things to know before signing: how fast you’ll really get paid, and what "fast" costs you.

How Same-Day ACH works, in general

Standard ACH takes three to five business days to settle. Same-Day ACH cuts that down to, well, the same day, provided the transaction clears Nacha's cutoff windows and stays under the $1 million per-transaction cap.

We've written the full breakdown elsewhere, so we won't repeat ourselves here: Everything You Should Know About Same-Day ACH.

Why Doesn't Alternative Payments Offer Same-Day ACH?

Alternative Payments built its pricing around funding speed itself. It’s plans (currently priced at $199/month for up to $50k in monthly processing volume or $499/month for up to $100k) come with standard ACH and credit card processing speeds.

Want your money faster? Good news, Alternative Payments has recently rolled out “flexible add-ons" including two faster payout options, T+2 Payouts and T+1 Payouts.

Now, the three publicly noted payout speeds for Alternative Payments are:

  • T+3 Payouts: Receive credit card & ACH payouts three business days after payment is processed (included in monthly subscription)
  • T+2 Payouts: Receive credit card & ACH payouts two business days after payment is processed (add-on price unknown)
  • T+1 Payouts: Receive credit card & ACH payouts one business day after payment is processed (add-on price unknown)

Below are their publicly listed payout timelines, based on payment date and payout tier.

It’s worth noting that Alternative Payments describes T+1 Payout speeds as “Same-Day”. These payout speeds differ from the Nacha Same Day ACH schedules and funds availability, as seen below.

With Alternative Payments fastest payout tier, T+1 Payout, an ACH payment made on Monday will settle on Tuesday.

According to the Nacha-defined processing windows for true Same-Day ACH, any ACH payment made before 4:45pm ET will settle that same business day.

So why doesn’t Alternative Payments offer "true" Same-Day ACH? This is simply how Alternative Payments has chosen to structure their accelerated payout tiers. There are many reasons why a payment solution wouldn’t offer Same-Day ACH, but that information is not publicly available in this instance.

If same-day funding matters to your cash flow, it's worth knowing upfront that there is no publicly-mentioned upgrade that offers same-day payout with Alternative Payments.

MSP billing & AR platforms that do offer Same-Day ACH

Popular MSP-centric accounts receivable platforms include ConnectBooster, WisePay, and FlexPoint. The broader market includes Alternative Payments, BenjiPays, and smaller tools. Out of the listed solutions, FlexPoint is the only billing platform that offers Same-Day ACH at this time.

Same-Day ACH is included on all FlexPoint subscription plans. Access funds 5x faster than standard ACH.

How much does Same-Day ACH cost with FlexPoint?

Same-day ACH is included on all FlexPoint subscription plans. You pay standard ACH transaction fees for 5x faster access to funds.

FlexPoint takes the opposite approach to pricing accelerated payouts. Same-Day ACH isn't a tier you climb toward. It's already included, with a real monthly allowance built into every plan. That means you pay standard ACH rates (as low as $0.25/transaction) for same-day funding timelines:

  • Essentials plans: $25,000 per month included
  • Growth plans: $50,000 per month included
  • Plus plans: $200,000 per month included

If you would like to process more than the included amount, it's a simple 1% transactional fee, capped at $30 per transaction. But that's the fine print, not the headline. We are happy to work with you to fit the unique needs of your business.

The bottom line for MSPs comparing Alternative Payments & FlexPoint

If getting paid faster matters to you – and for most MSPs juggling payroll, vendor payments, and the eternal gap between "invoiced" and "in the bank," it does – this is a real difference between these two platforms. One includes same-day funding standard. The other makes you pay more just to reach next-day and still can't get you same-day at any price.

Does Alternative Payments offer same-day ACH?

No. Their fastest option is next-day funding, and it requires an add-on cost to their standard plan(s). Same-day isn't available at any tier.
