New in FlexPoint: Self-Service Refunds Are Here

Let’s be honest. Refunds are never the fun part of billing.

Maybe a client paid with the wrong bank account. Maybe a project scope changed. Maybe you just need to make something right. Whatever the reason, when a refund needs to happen, it needs to happen quickly.

Up until now, that meant reaching out to support with the necessary details.

Now, you can handle it yourself directly inside your FlexPoint Admin Portal.

No extra emails or back and forth. Now, simply log in, click, confirm, and move on with your day.

How Self-Service Refunds Work

We kept this intentionally simple.

If you need to issue a refund, you can start from either the Invoices tab or the Payments tab.

From Invoices, select the invoice in question and click Initiate Refund on the right side of the screen.

From Payments, select the related payment and click Initiate Refund there.

Once you click it, a confirmation window pops up showing the original payment details, the refund amount, and where the funds will be returned. That could be a credit card or a bank account, depending on how the client paid.

Review the information. Confirm the refund. and that's it; you’re done!

The funds go back to the original payment method, keeping everything clean and properly tracked.

More Surcharge Visibility & Control

If the original payment included a surcharge, you’ll see a full breakdown in the refund window. It shows the base amount, the surcharge amount, and the total paid.

You will also see a Refund surcharge toggle.

If the toggle is on, the full amount including the surcharge is refunded.
If the toggle is off, only the base amount is refunded.

If there was no surcharge on the original payment, you will not see the toggle at all.

It’s straightforward and transparent, so you can make the right call for your client and your business.

This update is about giving you more control over your own billing operations.

Speed is the obvious win. If a client calls about a charge, you can fix it while you are still on the phone. That kind of responsiveness builds trust and reduces friction.
