My name is Sommer Clegg and I’m a Senior Onboarding Specialist at FlexPoint. I’m currently based in Richmond, VA with my partner, Douglas, along with our two cats (Hobbes and Zelda) and two dogs (Ziggy and Penny).

What is the most rewarding part of your role?

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is seeing the entire onboarding journey with our partners! I really enjoy teaching our partners how best to use our software.

How long have you been here?

I’ve been with FlexPoint for a year.

What does a work day look like for you?

My workday can vary, but I always start the day with reviewing onboarding emails and my calendar to prepare for the day. On an average day, I typically have a few onboarding calls and check-ins with partners. If I’m not on a call, I am working on the onboarding pipeline to ensure partners are ready to go live in FlexPoint!

What’s your favorite part of working at FlexPoint?

I really enjoy working with the FlexPoint team. Even with most of the team working remotely, everyone works so well together!
 

What’s something you’ve learned either from a fellow team member or naturally from your time at FlexPoint?

My knowledge of the MSP world and payment processing has significantly grown since starting at FlexPoint. Also, working closely with our partners has helped me realize there is no single approach to onboarding. Everyone’s journey is unique!
   
 

What is your biggest accomplishment so far?

It’s been exciting to see FlexPoint grow.  In 2024, I led almost 200 onboarding calls. I believe that number will double this year!

What are hobbies or initiatives you are dedicated to?

A few of my favorite hobbies are gaming, gardening, art, and reading. And when I’m not feeling introverted, I enjoy local events with friends.

One of my favorite shows is Black Mirror!
